A House Portrait from Paramus, New Jersey
by Jennifer Skopp
A real estate agent hired Jennifer Skopp to create a Watercolor House Portrait to give to her client as a closing gift. The client had been living in this Paramus home for a very long time.
This one-story house is wide. The roof is gray and most of the house is covered with white siding. A short path from the front step curves to the right and meets the driveway. The garage with white siding on the right side, is set back from the house.
The white front and storm doors are all the way on the right side of the house. There are three brick steps leading to the entrance with white railings. There is a double window on the left with bluish-gray shutters. In between that window and the front door is a set of five double-pane windows. Beneath those windows are bricks. Above those windows and the front door is a triangular gable covered with white siding.
Right in front of the house are various bushes and flowering plants. In front of the bushes is a green lawn. On the left side of the lawn is a beautiful Japanese Maple tree inside a circular area filled with soil.
