A House Portrait from Neffs, Pennsylvania

A real estate agent commissioned Jennifer Skopp to create a Watercolor House Portrait to give to her client, the buyer, as a closing gift.

This is a two-story house. The bottom level is brick and the second level is covered with white siding. The roof is a dark gray. A long driveway to the left of the house leads to a garage. This garage is covered with bricks on the lower part and white siding on the upper part, that forms a triangle.

There is a white balcony on the left side of the house. It is held up with white pillars. A dormer window can be seen right over the balcony. Underneath the balcony is the front door and window, that has greenish-gray shutters. The front entrance is perpendicular to the house. It is on the right side of the house that juts out a few feet. On top is a shallow gabled roof. A tall, brick chimney is in the center of this area and runs the whole height of the house and beyond the gabled roof. There is a window on either side of the chimney with the greenish-gray shutters.

The left side of the house has a double window with shutters and the second floor has two windows without shutters. Underneath those windows are two shrubs.

In front of the house is a garden of bushes and flowering plants that are planted in an irregular, curved shape.
