A House Portrait from Memphis Tennesse
by Jennifer Skopp
A client from Memphis Tennessee asked me to create a House Portrait of his home after seeing the one I painted of his sister's home.
This is a wide, white two-story house with a gray gable roof and gray shutters. The front entrance to the house is in the center. To the right of the front entrance is a bay window. There are three dormer windows on the second floor.
There is a deep front lawn. The front of the house is lined with shrubs and flowers. The pink and red azaleas in the front and right side of the house look beautiful in the springtime. There is a red Crepe Myrtle tree in front of the left side of the house.
A long reddish-brown driveway runs from the street to the backyard. It also forks off the right and meets a red brick path that leads to the two brick steps of the landing of the covered front entrance. The left side of the driveway is lined with tall, narrow trees that have white blossoms in the Spring.
There are many trees that are visible in back of the house.
